About CLAN! Network
CLAN! (Community Land Action Now!) is the largest national open network of Indigenous communities and community-support organizations in Kenya. Established in 2018, CLAN! advances community land registration, climate justice, and sustainable natural resource management, with a focus on formalizing community land rights under the Community Land Act No. 27 of 2016.
The network has grown to 85 members, including 54 Indigenous and local communities and 31 NGOs/CBOs across 21 counties in Kenya.
CLAN! operates as an unregistered loose network and relies on grant-holder organizations for financial management. Currently, Chepkitale Indigenous People Development Project (CIPDP) serves as the grant holder.
