Anglophone Africa Coordinator

One Family Foundation is a small family foundation based in the Netherlands that supports social innovation projects and start-ups globally. The foundation works to create collaboration across communities, governments, and social innovators to address poverty, restore the planet, and promote inclusion.
The organization convenes the Government Council for Social Innovation and supports the initiative through its secretariat.
Role Overview
The Anglophone Africa Coordinator will lead strategic engagement across Africa, working closely with governments, regional bodies, and ecosystem partners to support social innovation and entrepreneurship. The role involves public-private engagement, policy influence, partnership building, and regional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, policymakers, and regulatory bodies across Africa
- Develop policy recommendations and advocacy strategies
- Represent the organization in policy forums, coalitions, and consultations
- Develop and implement regional engagement strategies
- Monitor regional policy trends affecting social innovation and entrepreneurship
- Facilitate collaboration among governments, regional institutions, and ecosystem partners
- Support programme design and ensure Africa-focused insights shape global strategy
- Build partnerships with think tanks, NGOs, donors, and social innovators
- Identify funding and collaboration opportunities
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressively senior experience in public policy, government affairs, or international development
- Strong understanding of public sector landscapes in Africa, particularly in economic development, innovation, or entrepreneurship policy
- Experience engaging with governments, multilateral institutions, and cross-sector partners
- Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- French, Arabic, or Portuguese is an added advantage
